Westport is a vibrant town of 26,000 people that is steeped in history. It is located on the shoreline of Connecticut, and about 47 miles from New York City. We have beautiful public beaches, rolling hills and a variation of housing to appeal to many buyers. Residents in Westport love all of the amenities including a bustling downtown area with plenty of shopping and a mix of boutiques and chain stores. Cultural events and active politics abound in the tight-knit town. Due to the proximity to New York City, Westport is a highly desirable town to live in. Two major routes, I -95 and the Merritt Parkway, facilitate traffic south to New York or north to Hartford. The Metro Train North line transports thousands of Westporters to their jobs in Manhattan. Westport is surrounded by other beautiful communities including Norwalk to the west, Wilton and Weston to the north and Fairfield to it’s east.
